This year I successfully completed the first level of the Photography Society of New Zealand (PSNZ) honours system. I am now working on the second level which requires me to submit a portfolio of 12 images on a theme.
Despite not having myself I have always admired the art of tattoos, as most of the models that I shoot have them. I have therefore decided that I want to profile them in my portfolio so I am on the hunt for tattoed women and men willing to take part. The photos will be taken over the remainder of 2017.
The final set will have four women and four men in individual images and four couples but I need to shoot more images than that so that I have sufficient options to make up the set.
The images do not need to be fully nude but I would like them to really profile your best art. I would also like to bring something about the person in the image.
If I am successful the final prints will form part of an exhibition held in Dunedin in May 2018.
There will be no payment for the subjects, however in return for helping me out I will provide all subjects with a 8×12 inch print of a single image as well as copies of other digital files.
